RetroKeeper (“we”, “our”, “the App”) is a video game collection management tool. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

2. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking. Camera images are processed on-device and are not stored or transmitted to our servers.

3. Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide the App’s functionality:

• Account information — email address and display name, used for authentication and syncing.
• Collection data — game titles, conditions, completeness, purchase prices, and personal notes you enter.
• Camera input — used for barcode scanning and AI-powered game recognition. Raw images are processed on-device only; only the derived game identifier is sent to our servers.
• Usage data — anonymous interaction data (features used, screens viewed) to improve the App. This data is not linked to your identity.
• Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data to fix bugs and improve stability. This data is not linked to your identity.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Provide and maintain the App’s core features (collection management, game identification, market estimates)
• Sync your collection across your devices via Apple iCloud / CloudKit
• Improve the App through anonymous analytics and crash reporting

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication and cloud data storage
• Google Gemini — AI-powered image recognition for game identification
• eBay API — real-time market value estimates based on public listings
• Apple iCloud / CloudKit — collection data sync across your Apple devices

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure provided by Firebase and Apple iCloud. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We apply reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your collection data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the App’s settings. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Your Privacy Choices

You can:

• Delete your account and all associated data from within the App
• Disable analytics from the App’s settings
• Revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
